Call of Duty: Mobile — Modes, Ranked Ladder & House Rules
How the multiplayer and battle-royale modes work, what the ranked system rewards, and fair-play house rules you can run with friends.

Call of Duty: Mobile is the free-to-play handheld entry in the franchise, built by TiMi Studio Group for Android and iOS. It ships two distinct play styles — a 5v5 multiplayer mode with remastered maps and a standalone battle-royale mode — plus a ranked ladder and seasonal content. This reference explains how each mode is scored, how ranking works, and how to set fair house rules for casual play. It is a community-style guide, not official documentation.
Game modes at a glance
The two core modes reward different skills.
Multiplayer (5v5)
Classic objective modes — Frontline, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Search & Destroy and Hardpoint — on compact remastered maps. Matches are short; score is kills, objectives and scorestreak contribution.
Battle Royale
Up to 100 players drop onto a large map. You can play solo, duos or squads and choose a class (e.g. Assault, Sniper, Medic). The last squad standing wins; the play zone shrinks over time.
Ranked MP
A separate skill-rated queue with tiers from Bronze to Legendary. Placement, win or loss, and individual performance (K/D, objectives) all feed a points total that decides promotion and demotion.
How the ranked ladder works
Ranked rewards consistency, not just raw kills.
Tiers
Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond → Master → Legendary. Each tier needs a points threshold; losing streaks cost more than a single bad match.
What counts
Win or loss is the largest factor. Objective play (capturing points, completing Search & Destroy rounds) and survivability move the needle more than lone-wolf fragging.
Fair-play house rules for casual sessions
Agree these before a private match so everyone has fun.
Class & loadout limits
In private rooms, cap to one Sniper per team or ban a specific meta gun for a round to force variety.
Win condition
For Battle Royale with friends, set a 'no camping in final circle' rule or a 'revive-teammate-first' rule to keep engagements active.
Ranked etiquette
Treat ranked as the competitive queue — no quit-penalty abuse, no intentional draws. Use casual for experiments.
