Methodology
GameRulePro is an independent editorial reference for PC game specs, FPS estimates and crash-fix guides. This page explains where the numbers come from, how we verify them, and where our data stops being authoritative.
Data sources
- Game metadata — titles, genres, release years and developer/publisher fields — are drawn from publisher spec sheets and the RAWG API, retrieved 2026-08-21.
- Minimum and Recommended system requirements use each publisher's official values where published; predicted requirements are modeled and clearly labeled as estimates.
- GPU FPS estimates use a normalized performance index across 15+ GPUs at 1080p, 1440p and 4K, calibrated against published benchmark sources.
- Crash-fix and optimization guides summarize community-found fixes and in-game settings; version-specific fixes are flagged as such rather than implied to apply universally.
How we verify
Every figure is checked against a primary source before publication. Anything we cannot verify is marked as pending or omitted entirely. Estimates are labeled as estimates — we would rather show a clearly-labeled approximation than a precise-looking number we cannot back up. Retrieval dates are recorded per dataset and refreshed on a versioned changelog.
Refresh cadence
The open dataset is refreshed annually with a versioned changelog; high-traffic titles and newly released hardware are updated as sources change. The current dataset version is dated 2026-09-10. You can cite or download the full open dataset from our Cite This Dataset page.
Open data & original research
The same datasets that power the site are published for review and reuse. The ESRB age-rating dataset documents the recorded age-rating labels across all 335 games, and the ESRB rating distribution study counts those labels without imputing missing values. Both pages list their sample, fields, method, limitations and citation format; the downloadable JSON lives on the Cite This Dataset page.
Known limitations
FPS estimates are model outputs — real-world performance varies with drivers, thermals, background load and in-game settings. System-requirement predictions are not official publisher statements. We are not an official support channel and do not guarantee a game will run on a given PC. Always confirm with the publisher before purchasing or upgrading.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any game publisher, platform, or hardware vendor, and we sell no user data or leads.
