Maps & Beginner Route
The essentials for Escape from Tarkov.
Where to start
Factory (fast, small) and Ground Zero (beginner-friendly, level-gated) for PvP practice. Customs for quests and cheap loot. Avoid Streets until you have 16 GB+ and a real kit.
Quest discipline
Follow one trader’s quest line (Prapor/Therapist) rather than scattering. Quests give the best XP and unlock the gear you actually need.
Extract > kill
You only keep what you extract. Pre-plan two extracts per raid, keep your backpack light, and leave the moment you’re fat. Dying with loot teaches nothing but loss.
