These are our editor’s practical, reproducible tips — no exploits, no external tools, just better play on a normal PC.
Optimal First-Year Plan
The essentials for Stardew Valley.
Spring focus
Plant parsnips day 1, then potatoes. Clear the mine on rainy days. Save 2,000g+ for the Strawberry seeds at the Egg Festival — they out-earn everything else that year.
Summer money
Blueberries (multi-harvest) and sprinklers (recipe from the 2nd mine level / Oasis). Build a preserved-fruit pipeline with Kegs for the biggest margin.
Relationships & bundles
Two hearts with key NPCs (Penny for the library, Caroline for tea saplings) and finishing the Pantry bundle unlock the Greenhouse — your Year 2 engine.
