Why is Apex 104° FOV different than Valorant 103°?

Apex reports vertical FOV. Valorant reports horizontal 16:9. At 16:9 Valorant 103°HFOV ≈ Apex 97°HFOV; Apex 110° horizontal = ~104 true vertical + 16:9 scaling. The tool labels each engine type explicitly.

Increasing FOV tanks FPS?

Approximate FPS penalty is shown on the right: ~8-12% going 80→110 on 21:9 UW, negligible on 16:9 1080p.

Does Minecraft use vertical or horizontal?

Vanilla Minecraft uses vertical FOV. "Quake Pro" FOV 110 is ~110 vertical → ~145 horizontal at 16:9. The calculator automatically handles Java / Bedrock toggle.

Does the tool show motion sickness reduction?

Yes — a Motion Sickness bar fills red if your HFOV delta exceeds ±12° across two commonly used games. Lowering delta is the number one fix for FPS-induced nausea.
