What "crash on launch" usually means
Almost always a file-integrity or driver issue, not a hardware fault. A verify/repair pass resolves most cases.
Black screen = video config, not a dead GPU
The render pipeline started but the display negotiation failed. Resetting in-game video settings (via the config file) is the standard fix.
Stutter vs low FPS
Stutter is irregular frame pacing (CPU/background), while low FPS is raw GPU load. They need different fixes — cap framerate for the former, lower settings for the latter.
