Method: a game's demand tier maps to a “GPU index needed for ~60 FPS at 1080p”; each GPU's relative index produces an estimate via a diminishing-returns curve, then scaled for resolution. Source: TechPowerUp GPU database (relative performance), 2026-08-29.

Frequently asked questions
Common pre-launch questions about Minecraft, answered from official publisher and studio announcements (verified 2026-09-09). Guides, configuration and troubleshooting pages are added after launch.
What are the system requirements for Minecraft?
Minimum: Intel Core i3-3210 / 2 GB RAM / Intel HD 4000. Recommended (1080p/60, editorial estimate where official numbers are unpublished): Intel Core i5-4690 / 8 GB RAM / GTX 700-series or AMD equivalent.
What is the best way to mod Minecraft?
Use Forge, Fabric, or NeoForge; get mods from CurseForge and Modrinth. Mods are single-player only — never in online modes.
How do I fix Minecraft crashing or not launching on PC?
Update GPU drivers, verify/repair game files, install community shader fixes where they exist, and disable overlays. See the Crash & Fix page.
How do I get better FPS in Minecraft?
Lower Shadows, Volumetrics and View Distance first; enable DLSS/FSR/XeSS; cap the framerate. See the Optimization page.
Age rating & regional compliance
GameRulePro pairs each title with its ESRB age rating and, where documented, real regulatory notes on loot boxes, skin gambling and randomized monetization. Every line is source-linked and labeled with its retrieval date. This is an educational reference, not legal advice — verify the specifics that apply to your jurisdiction.

About Minecraft
One of the most popular games of the 2010s, Minecraft allows you to rebuild the environment around you. The world of the game is open, infinitely wide, and procedurally generated. It is composed of small 3D cubes that represent specific types of materials or terrain. The gameplay is centered on mining and building various structures of your choice. You can also craft items like tools, weapons, and armor. There's an option to shift to the first or the third person view. Minecraft includes multiple modes that dramatically change the focus of the game. Survival and Adventure modes require the player to gather resources, hunt for food and fight monsters to survive. In the Hardcore mode, there’s even permanent death. Creative mode, by contrast, offers you to freely explore the world and construct whatever you want with unlimited resources. There’s also a multiplayer mode that allows the players to share their worlds and engage in the traditional MMO activities, such as player-vs-player combat. Minecraft’s crude visual style, reminiscent of Lego cubes, became an iconic part of the popular culture. There are many myths and fan fiction surrounding the game, such as the legend of Herobrine, a rumored character that officially doesn’t exist.

How the Minecraft FPS estimate and rules generator are computed
Each game is scored on a 0–9 demand tier from its published PC requirements (and a year/genre fallback when requirements are absent). The FPS estimate compares your selected GPU's relative-performance index against the tier's required index using a diminishing-returns curve, then scales for resolution. The rules and tournament builder is a community-style template engine: it formats your group size, match format and tiebreaks into a printable sheet. All outputs are planning guides — verify in-game and agree house rules with your group before play.
